“Though they know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.” (Romans 1:32)
Some Christians even those in sound doctrinal churches are afraid to speak up and share truth with family and friends outside of Christ. Those who shares boldly are criticize by those even within the body of Christ.
Steve and I have two neighbors that are homosexuals, we are acquaintances with them and they know that we are always praying for them, they know that we love them and as neighbors, we are here for them. When they go on vacation or we do, we look out for each other homes. My point is not to say, “look at us, we love homosexuals and lesbians” my point is, if we can’t love our neighbors and speak truth to them, how can we obey God’s commandment of loving our neighbors. They also know that we don’t condone their lifestyle, I have shared with one of them the gospel. He said, “Bica, so you believe I was not born this way?” Absolutely, you were not born that way. It is a choice you made, just as I made a choice to fall in love with Steve. I also told him that God never make mistakes, He created male and female. Praise God, the man still gave me a good haircut and my normal discount for being neighbor. Yes, we are still friendly neighbors and vice versa.
We are to proclaim the gospel boldly but in love at all times. Don’t tell people that God loves them and have a wonderful plan for their lives. Tell them the truth, God does love His creation, two fold, you can respond to His calling and spend eternity with Him in heaven or reject Christ Jesus as Savior and Lord, and spend eternity in hell. We can’t proclaim to be Born Again, embrace every faith, and not share the gospel with those who are in our lives. Remember no child of God will enter hell, so stop giving false hope that a non- believer is a child of God.
Matthew 22:36-38 “ “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. Friends, our neighbors are not only the people we get along with, but also, all those that we come into contact with. Another command from the Lord “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Matthew 5:43-46
Friends, life is too short and we have to be bold to share God’s truth with others. I am not here to be popular and to be liked by people. I am here to be truthful about what God’s word says. When I see or hear people who proclaim to be Christians embracing the things that contradict the word of God, it shows me that they don’t understand the Sovereignty of God; they don’t believe that God is holy and they are probably not saved by God’s grace. Friends, we will come under God’s judgment when we stand and condone sin, there are consequences that will come upon us. I have had so many people who proclaims Christ and un-friend me on Facebook because of my boldness but that doesn’t affect me, what grieves me is when I don’t see them sharing the word of God when they are on Facebook. They post everything except what really matters, sharing God’s word to a lost and dying world. What an opportunity we have, why let it go to waste?
This current administration has and is destroying this country, but it doesn’t mean that we have to be nasty and mean. We have to stand strong, voice our opinions and let the Holy Spirit do the converting. We are called to pray for those who are spiritually dead and all people, meaning those in Christ. Some Christians think it is best to shut our mouth so at least no one will be offended. I suggest you go back to the Bible and start all over because men and women spoke the truth no matter what it cost them, which is usually their life. There is a difference in speaking truth in love than speaking truth and damning everyone to hell. Who do we think we are when we damn someone to hell, we could be doing that to an elect? God is definitely growing me in that area and I am so grateful. Studying God’s word is so important because our desires would be to be more like Christ Jesus.
Friends, my point is that even homosexuals and lesbians can be saved. We have many families and friends who are not in Christ but because they are Heterosexuals, we gave them a pass. We can’t play God and decides who should enter heaven. God, before the very foundation of this world, He chose us! Ephesians 1:4-6
We have no idea who God’s elect are, so who are we to damn people to hell? Having said that, who are we as Christians to chastise other Christians when they are sharing truth in love? Now is the time to share the truth more so than ever. Someone said to me that they are not here to judge and yes, if outside of Christ, that is God’s place to judge but when we are in Christ, we are to judge each other righteously not with a self- righteous attitude. “For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge? 1Corinthians 5:12
If we have no desire to share truth and see others come to Christ, then, then it is a serious matter. Go to God and ask Him if you are in the faith. He is faithful to hear those who are genuinely seeking Him. We ought to love those inside and outside the body of Christ. Be bold in sharing Christ and don’t withhold the truth from those outside of Christ. As believers, remember to pray for each other, because we need the Saints to pray for us daily.
If you are not in Christ, my prayer is that you will cry out to God for salvation. He is the only one who can grant you repentance. Without Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, one will spend eternity in hell. “ I am the way, the truth and life, no one can come to the Father except through Me (Jesus Christ) John 14:6
